Alamu is a Doctoral candidate in Political Science at the Centre for Political Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her research interest is in the area of State politics in India, specifically Tamil Nadu. As a Public Policy Scholar, she will map the evolution of ' regional autonomy' during the first tenure of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) government from 1967-1971.

Alamu is a Doctoral candidate in Political Science at the Centre for Political Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her research interest is in the area of State politics in India, specifically Tamil Nadu. Her doctoral research, on ‘Dravidian Ideology and State Politics: A Study of DMK and AIADMK since 1967’, seeks to map the tragectory of Dravidian ideology in the State mainly by examining the infulence of the ideology on public policy discourse.

Alamu holds M.Phil. and M.A. degrees in Political Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University and a Bachelor’s degree from the Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University.

Research : As a Public Policy Scholar with the Hindu Centre for Politics and Public Policy, Alamu will map the evolution of ‘ regional autonomy’ during the first tenure of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) government from 1967-1971.
