Lok Sabha Elections 2024: DMK Election Manifesto

“The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) is the first party in India to have created a tradition of publishing a manifesto before every General Election – with a promise to implement various schemes once in power, and presenting these commitments to the public to seek their support in the electoral arena,” read the opening lines of the Manifesto. Among other things, it says that the DMK would seek to remove Section 361 of the Constitution providing special exemption to Governors from legal action.

The 68-page document was released by the Chief Minister and party chief M.K. Stalin at party a meeting on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. The document was put together by an eleven-member committee heading by party MP Kanimozhi and several senior leaders.
