CSO: Youth in India - 2017

India currently has the largest share of youth population in the world, 34.8 per cent as per the 2011 Census, and would continue to hold so for the next 20 years. In order to reap the benefits of this demographic dividend and make planning and monitoring of various development programmes for the youth simple, the Central Statistics Office (CSO) of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation has come out with this statistical publication, 'Youth in India 2017'. This is the first time since 1998 that the Government of India has attempted to present all relevant data on youth in one place.
