India continues to report high number of recoveries. The recovered cases have exceeded the new confirmed again during the past 24 hours. 911. WHO Guidelines on COVID Tests - Ministry of Health and Family Welfare

The World Health Organization (WHO) has recommended 0.14 samples per day per 1000 or 140 tests per day per million population. As on 19th September, 2020 India is conducting COVID -19 tests at a rate of 875 tests/million population per day. This is more than 6 times the WHO recommendations. On the day when India has registered the highest single day recoveries of nearly 75,000, it continues to set a record in testing too. More than 11.5 lakh COVID samples have been tested in the last 24 hours. India is one of the few countries that have reported very high numbers of daily testing. India’s TEST, TRACK and TREAT strategy is showing tangible results.The Recovery Rate of India touched a record high of more than 70000 patients being discharged in a single day.The highest ever single day recoveries of 70,072 were recorded in the last 24 hours.
