R. Badri Narayan

Dr. R. Badri Narayan, an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer of the 1986 batch, retired in March 2022 as Chief Administrative Officer, Traffic Transportation and Business Research Unit (TT&BRU), Northern Railway. Prior to that he worked as AGM, Central Railway and DRM, Howrah. Dr. Narayan has worked for more than a decade in the area of software tools for transportation planning, first in the Long-Range Decision Support System project (LRDSS) and later heading the timetabling project in CRIS. A doctorate in Economics from Pennsylvania State University, he obtained his Master’s degree from the Delhi School of Economics.
